WhiteBirds | Today I've been thinking about those people who always ask "why?" To these people, tell them what you tell them, they always ask "why?" For example: -You: I've seen a movie tonight that I did not like. - That person: Why? - You: I do not know, maybe because the main actor does not like me. - That person: Why do not you like that actor? What astrological explanation would this have? |
hearttreasure | ME. Lol. The reason why I always ask "why": just because of the curiosity, nothing serious. I think Mercury in 3rd house makes me like that. Sometimes I ask "why" because of boredom, like, I want to hear you keep talking. He he he.. |
Nadja | Maybe a hard Mercury-Pluto aspect? Together with some emotional component, ex. water sign or something. Curiosity about people + obsessive focus = questioning motives? Idk, just speculation. I have a Pluto in Scorpio trine Mercury in Cancer and I was the type of child who was always asking why, and every answer I got was followed by a new 'but why?'... I've not completely grow out of it either, but I don't do it all the time, and not obessively. |
Melinn | yap thats me! pluto in 3rd opposite sun and mercury in 9th. Also 8th house stellium. pluto to moon etc etc. Gemini stellium (opposite saturn so well grounded) and virgo rising. Uranus is aspecting mercury too for exI have always been that “why?!” type of person. Started from when I was a speaking toddler. My parents tells me how I was super curious on everything (well most children are) but that I almost never were satisfied with their responses. If I was I would go to my next question. Now as an adult, I’m a obsessive thinker and more interested in going in deeper and hate superficiality. |
Melinn | Also Two of my guy friends are like this, they won’t let me tell my stories or anecdotes in peace, they always interrupts with detail questions and I thought only females were like this until I met them. They will always interrupt with for “wait how did you go there? Why did you go there? Why did you say this or that? What did you do?” etc. They want me to elaborate like everything even uninteresting things. I think the only thing they don’t ask is “what did you were?” hahah . I get frustrated sometimes and be like “ok can you let me finish?! You don’t let me go to the point!” I guess its a synastry thing too as their moons are in my 8th. but they both have plutonic mercuries and suns(sextile) and fire and air placements.

hearttreasure | @Nadja, I also have Mercury hard aspect Pluto, but my mercury is in Air sign in an Air house, most of the time I am just curious or I am bored (My dom is Air/Fire). I can definitely see every water mercury aspects Pluto has those "questioning motives" behind their "why". Especially Scorpio mercury. Scorpio mercury hard aspect to Pluto? Extra be careful. lol. They ask because there's a motive. My husband has Cancer mercury in trine to Pluto, and, I don't hear him often asking "why" ? Hmmm... My other friend, who has Pisces mercury trine Pluto, I don't hear him often saying "why" too. Both of them can talk A LOT with me, like, sometimes I think "wow, why are you talking so much? like, you don't even let me talk, wow", but just on my thoughts because they can be so excited and it's interesting to see. |
Dumuzi | i ask, i figure if someone is mentioning something they want to talk about it keeps the conversation going otherwise they're just talking at you and there's nothing to say who just mentions something without wanting to or expecting to elaborate on anything? |

My husband does this! Drives me insane :-/ He can say something along the lines of: “I went to the store to buy a pillow but left because I didn’t like the salesman!” And I’ll go: “oh really?! Why didn’t you like the salesman??” And he’ll respond: “Figure it out for yourself.” Or he’lll say “ xxxxx (his daughter) is sad” and of course I’ll be wondering why and wanting to know but then he’ll say “I’m not gonna tell you. Ask her yourself!” |
Somna7H | If I see my Natal Chart through Whole House System then find Mercury Conjunct NN in 3rd House and both Square Pluto. But Why ? And I nean Why ? ------------------ My Chart : http://imgur.com/hCRDawD |
Lalafortunaea | Yes this is me too. Why-asker, and asker of almost anything. I was worse when I was a kid!! I've mellowed a bit xD (sort of). I just want to know! Gimme dat knowledge! I also like knowing things in as pure a way as possible and try not to be too bias. I think not asking why or questioning much isn't good for the brain. I think continuing to ask sincerely is a good thing. New knowledge is also refreshing for me. For me it's literally just insatiable curiosity. My sister actually said that when I was small, all my "why" asking and all my questions made her start going to the library so she could answer me xD I still do have questions that have yet to be answered My merc is pretty much unaspected, but I've got Jupiter in the third, which is trine Pluto.

yeah i don't care for that sorta **** , for that they can talk to a wall or themselves and i don't need to listen it's just someone talking to hear themselves make noise at that point admittedly though sometimes if i'm asking questions it's because i'm feigning interest or because i got distracted, wasn't really listening, and i figure i can make out what was said based on the answer i'm given or they'll give me something to work off of to guide the subject to something else my chart:

Emiliaai | I also since I can remember have always been a why asker. I love to know the depth of things being told to me and I also have an incredible curiosity that is hard to feed. I also need to know more and more. My Sun opposes my Pluto in the 3rd house as well like another poster wrote on here ... im not sure if this explains it |
